Pittsburgh Easter Egg Hunts for 2015
We put together a comprehensive list of 2015 Easter Egg Hunts in Pittsburgh for all of you, our family and friends.
As we start to get a taste of warmer weather again, springtime activities begin to take priority. For kids of all ages, this is the time of year when it starts to get more difficult to focus, as our thoughts turn to fun in the sun. Hopefully this upcoming Spring and Easter season will stay sunny and warm so we all can get outside and enjoy some time with our families. We thought it would be helpful if we put together a list of some of the best Pittsburgh Easter Egg Hunts for 2015.
- Easter Egg Hunt in Bunnyland
Reilly’s Summer Seat Farm, 1120 Roosevelt Rd, Pittsburgh
April 3-4 | 10 AM to 1 PM
Only about 15 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, Reilly’s Garden Center at Summer Seat Farm will be hosting their annual Spring Festival and Easter Egg Hunt. For $7.50/child, and $3.50 per spectator, guests are invited to bring their families down to the farm. In addition to the Easter Egg hunt, kids can meet the Easter Bunny in Bunny Land and win a new Easter Basket after they find 10 eggs. Families will also get to take a hayride to Bunny Land to visit the Bunny’s straw egg nests. Face painting, barnyard animal visits, balloons and other special events will be happening down on the farm.
- Angora Gardens Annual Easter Egg Hunt
Angora Gardens, 3 Muse Ln, White Oak PA
Saturday, March 28th | Noon – 3 PM
About 30 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh is the peaceful Angora Gardens. The Angora Gardens Annual Easter Egg Hunt is open for families, and children under 10 are welcome to explore the safe, country grounds hunting for eggs. There will also be a large variety of vendors selling a variety of wares, from bath and body items, to crafts and candles, and more. - Eggstravaganza at the National Aviary
The National Aviary, 700 Arch St, Pittsburgh, PA
March 28-29, April 3-5 | 11 AM – 3 PM
For an Easter Egg Hunt that’s a litte more different from the usual, the National Aviary is hosting their annual Eggstravaganza. Children under 2 are free, ages 2-12 is $12, and adults are $14 for general admission. In addition to all of the birds and exhibits, parents are encouraged to bring their camera for photo ops with the Easter Bunny, a bird-themed outdoor egg hunt, “quack-tacular” duck activities, story time with a live bird, and a variety of other activities. - Simmons Farm Easter Egg Hunt
Simmons Farm, 170 Simmons Rd, McMurray PA
March 28 – April 4 | 10 AM – 6 PM, closing @ 5 PM the 29th
Less than 40 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, Simmons Farm will be hosting their 2015 Easter Egg Hunt. It costs $11 per person, and includes a farm-related craft, decorating Easter egg gathering bags, hunting for up to a dozen hidden eggs throughout the apple orchards, or in the greenhouse if there’s rain. Guests can plant flowers, decorate flower pots, visit the petting zoo, or take part in the duck pond races. There is no charge for adults who are accompanying children. More info here.
- Bunny Fun Cruise
The Gateway Clipper Fleet, Station Square, Pittsburgh
2 cruises on April 4 | 10:30 AM & 1:15 PM
A boat ride with the Easter Bunny costs $12 for kids and $25 for each adult. Once on board, kids can meet the Easter Bunny, take photos, listen and dance to great music as the DJ plays songs like the “Bunny Hop” and more. All kids will get a special treat from the Bunny, and kids are welcome to pay a little extra to decorate Easter eggs during the cruise. The ride lasts 2 hours and is great for the whole family to try something new. More information here.
