The 2017 F-150 offers a new 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 engine and 10-speed automatic transmission. This new V6 produces 375 hp – 10 hp more than the 2016 model –  and a hearty 470 lb.-ft. of torque (a 50 lb.-ft. improvement).The engine and transmission will help provide more power and improve acceleration. The new engine and the new transmission are both available on all trim levels of the 2017 Ford F-150.

The 2017 Ford F-150, of course, is back with a Military-grade, aluminum alloy body. The durable and lightweight body helps make the F-150 rugged yet light and responsive. This is the same 5,000/6,000-series high-strength aluminum alloy used in the aerospace, commercial transportation and energy industries. By moving to aluminum, Ford was able to reduce weight while increasing strength. Aluminum-alloy is also resistant to dents and corrosion – a mandatory feature for any work truck.
